From the recording Reminds Me of a Dream
Joseph and I were approached to write the music soundtrack for an independent film, which was something we had always wanted to do. One of the most important songs needed to be the love song, and I always love to write love songs. After reading the script, I felt the call of my folk roots, and I sat down with my guitar and "Reminds Me Of A Dream" was born. Together with Joseph's guidance and brilliant piano skills, we created this haunting love song that became the director's favorite, and a major high point in the movie.
Reminds Me of a Dream
Voices call to my beating heartWith a memory I can’t explainI see a face inside a frameOh, it echoes your nameIt’s a warm night in the moonlightStars look down over the mountainIt’s the prettiest night I’ve ever seenOh, reminds me of a dreamI still remember someone, somewhere In my mindIn another time, another placeThere was a smile, a kiss, and then a lover’s danceIt was a sweet romance, time can’t erase…ohIt’s a new day, maybe I’ll stayAs the sun shines bright over the mountainIt’s the prettiest day I’ve ever seenOh, reminds me of a dream
